My interest in photography began in 1986, when my first “on the road” VHS taping was aired on 9 & 10 News.  The Mancelona Chamber of Commerce was sponsoring the annual Buck Pole contest, so I brought the camera along and took some video.  That night, my video aired on
9 & 10 News.

Although I still take digital video, my focus has been more on digital still photography. As a freelance photographer I have represented several newspapres and television stations, oftentimes shooting community events, human interest and feature images for articles, and fires and accident scenes for investigation purposes. Over the past several years, I have expanded my photography coverage to include High School Sports action, particularly basketball, softball, baseball, volleyball and football.

With technology advancing the way it is, the possibilities are almost endless when it comes to creating special effects and personalized products. Mouse pads, books, proof portfolios, clothing, magnets, key chains, coffee mugs, posters and many other every-day items are just a photograph and click away! With our library of thousands of photographs we have cataloged over the years, chances are if you are from the Mancelona area, we have your bright smile on file.

Many thanks go out to a great friend, John, with many years of photography experience. I couldn’t ask for a better mentor.

My enthusiasm to learn more about photography is as high as the stars. A self-proclaimed shutterbug, a camera always  in hand, ready to capture those precious moments that are here today, and quickly become tomorrow’s memories.
